I dont know whats the problem with the battery consumption that you all experience..my phone can use more than 2 days with Vortex 1.5 and still have three bars remaining..you can see the screenshot(attachment) that last phone charge is '2 days 9 hours ago'..maybe 'Remaining', 'Discharge', and 'Average Life' not accurate but 'Last Charge' is accurate according to time past..so the conclusion, battery consumption is depend on how do you use your phone..thanks..
Phadly, how long did your charge last, say 1-2 months ago when you had Vortex 1.4 on your phone? What I'm saying is compare the two releases on your own phone because my battery obviously isn't in as good a condition as yours. In my phone, v1.5 gives me a significant reduction in battery life, about let's say 40%.

Buy only original Nokia battery. or always have reserve battery with you.. my battery last only for half days coz im using GPS every time.. so battery depends on how you use ur phone.. your phone easily low because you use it a lot discoverying feature of new firmware.. eheheh..
ReplyDeletenope i guess there;s a memory leak :( 1.4 used to last like 3 days plus :) but 1.5 barely a day :( i use gps alot n stay connected via wifi but this is not new as i used to do the same in 1.4 as well n lasted atleast 3 days :) i guess we'll spoil our batteries due to constant charging & discharging with in 24 hours :S Plzz phadly recook the rofs2 rom or other system files !!! 1.4 was just perfect do it asap as i'm on the move most of the time n phone's dead usually in d evenings :'( plz do somethin asap thanks...
ReplyDeleteyep.. there's 2 thing i've notice with vortex1.5. first 1 is memory leak, which sometime gives me Memory not Enough error, and second is battery cannot last for more than 24hrs, even if i rarely use the phone.

ReplyDeletePhadly, apart from fixing the memory-leak issue, I would like ActiveNotes in the new release! I can't think of anything else right now because I think that apart from this major issue, V1.5 is perfect!

Google Map is using phone memory to save map data. it has consumed 40% of my phone data.
In next release please remove all 3rd applications like x-plore, google map and games etc

yes i agree, and you could pack all the neccesary thirdparty apps in a folder. so everyone can choose, install or delete them.

ReplyDeletefor the first time in v1.5, my phone is running for 3 days without charging!! The main problem i guess is the widgets, they consume ram. I killed all unnecessary processes and even the menu sometimes and got 50MB average for the first day, 48 on second and 45 today. Still 3 bars left. The usage included calls for 30min, msging, music for 20min.

ReplyDeletewith all due respect and gratitude for the great firmware , but 1.5 sucks out the battery like crazy, it lasted only just few hours over a day (so like a day and two hours). no wi-fi no listening to music no gps. unlike 1.4 where i surf and listen to music (I don't really need the maps)and the battery lasts for 2 and a half days sometimes three days.

for the next release make sure Ovi Sync is included because it's amazing feature, (back up of notes, calendar and contacts over the internet so u always have them), the theme of 1.5 is great so keep that one.

and can someone please give advice about installing those apps from ovi store that require extra download of 13MB?

ReplyDeleteyou commited the biggest mistake! update phone via ovi suite. which cfw did u have then? and what version? try flashing with the ofw of your region specifically.
ReplyDelete@ parth i cannot do that mate.. as i need to flash the phone in dead usb mode.. ovi suite n nsu does not recognize the phone... i tried various fw's from navi firm still worried abt my lovely phone :(
